Privacy Policy
Last updated August 17, 2026
This policy explains what ClaimStreet ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website, publisher tools, and consumer deal pages (the "Service").
1. What we collect
- Consumers. When you claim a deal we collect your email address (and, if a deal uses text delivery, a phone number), the deals you claim and buy, and when a code is used. For paid deals, payment is handled by Stripe; we receive confirmation of the payment and the amount, never your full card number.
- Publishers and staff. Name, email address, sign-in credentials, organization details, and billing status. Payout details for paid deals are collected directly by Stripe.
- Usage data. Standard log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and, on deal pages, which channel a visit came from (for example a newsletter link or an embedded deal list) so publishers can see which channels perform.
2. How we use it
We use this information to run the Service: delivering claimed deals by email, signing you in with emailed links, processing payments and refunds, showing publishers how their deals perform, preventing fraud and abuse (such as enforcing one claim per person), providing support, and meeting legal obligations. If you opt in to marketing from a specific publisher when claiming a deal, that publisher may email you about future deals; each publisher's opt-in is separate, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service:
- With the publisher whose deal you claim. They see your email address, your claims with them, and your marketing opt-in choice for their publication. Publishers do not see your activity with other publishers.
- With the participating business, to the extent needed to honor and record the use of your deal.
- With service providers that process data for us: Stripe (payments and payouts), Mailgun (email delivery), Amazon Web Services and Heroku (hosting and file storage), and Sentry (error monitoring).
- When required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ClaimStreet, our users, or others, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the Service to work: keeping you signed in, securing forms, and (for business staff) remembering a short-lived authorization at the counter so they do not have to re-enter a PIN for every redemption. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
5. Retention and security
We keep personal information for as long as needed to run the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Records of claims and payments are retained while the related accounts are active. Data is encrypted in transit, passwords and PINs are stored hashed, and access is limited to those who need it to operate the Service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
6. Your choices
You can unsubscribe from a publisher's marketing email using the link in the email or by contacting us. You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@claimstreet.app. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR, and we will honor those requests.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice, such as by posting on this page with a new "last updated" date or by email. Questions or requests: hello@claimstreet.app.
